The S/S 2024 collection was showcased at LFW on 16th September, 2023 with Oxford Fashion Studio (OFS) in a refreshing semi-outdoor setting at Devonshire Square.

S/S 2024 ‘YOLO . . . this time’

Comic book style drawings and silicone cover-ups are the most important actors of this fun collection.

The collection’s title refers to ‘You only live once … this time’, which is a statement to encourage you to live your life to its fullest in the current moment and dare to become who you are meant to be.

The S/S 2024 collection was distinguished as the Platinum Winner in Custom & Unique Fashion Design Category at the Design Skill Awards in February 2024.

COMIC BOOK STYLE

The designer was always fond of drawing in comic book style. In her teenager years she met the works of Dani, the French Bandes Desinees illustrator, and besides other anime style cartoons, this was her main trigger to spend her days with drawing. The French illustrator captured the sexuality of women in a way that made her want to be able to depict the beauty of the female body and it became her passion. The protagonist of this small story is sensual, well aware of her power as a woman and is not afraid to use it. The small snippets all express her confidence, while wearing her high heel boots, riding a motorbike, or just simply showing off her physical features in a well-fitted jumpsuit.

THE UNAPOLOGETIC FEMALE CHARACTER

The designer has always been mesmerized by the concept of an unapologetic female character who overcomes her shyness and dares to make a bold statement with her presence, drawing attention from every corner of the room. While this persuasive idol has always been the center figure of her collections, YOLO’s muse is taking it a step further. She is the embodiment of strength and sensuality perfectly bonding together.

SILICONE COVER-UPS

Silicone, which is usually the protagonist of the designer’s work is doing more of a cameo in this collection, showing up here and there. The 3D silicone cylinders standing out of the surface of the silicone bralettes, vests, cover-ups are results of a new experiment.

NEON & FLUORESCENT COLOR SCHEME

The color scheme of this collection is more vibrant than ever, including jumpsuits and dresses in four different bold colors (blue, fuchsia, yellow, green) and matching fluorescent silicone cover-ups.

‘TODAY’ CAPTIONS

As the title refers to the importance of the current time, the captions include the word “Today” repeatedly. “Today everything is going to be just awesome”, “Today, I’m finally in a good mood” etc.
